Mary Metzger is an award-winning illustrator based in Richmond, Virginia.

Inspired by the fairytale books of her childhood, she especially enjoys combining fantastical imagery with the equally magical natural world around her. Her illustrations are characterized by their detailed line-work, ethereal atmosphere, and seamless combination of traditional and digital techniques.

Mary received her B.F.A in Communication Arts and a baccalaureate certificate in Product Innovation from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. Her work has received numerous awards, including an Adobe Design Achievement Award in 2019.
